What is Kidztown?

Kidztown is a fast paced, high energy method of presenting timeless morals and values to children in a way they understand and enjoy!
Take Sesame Street, Sunday School and clowning skills - bring them together and you have Kidztown!

Kidztown's Mission Statement:
Raising spiritual champions to make a world of difference.

Kelly Brower Founder, Kelly Brower
September 8, 1967 - August 3, 2004

Helping each child reach their potential!
Sensing a need to support parents in raising their children, Kelly Brower founded Kidztown in 1995. Kelly had a vision to build Kidztown to a point where there was a strong supportive Kidztown outreach in every city in Canada! Kelly's dream was that Kidztown will reach out to children and families with the message that they are important and have purpose, and that literally thousands of families will find strong support in their journey!

"My mission in life is to:
1. lead my family to the Lord Jesus Christ in a way that is fun and exciting.
2. To lead as many other families to Jesus as I can.
3. To teach others to do the same.
"

Sadly, Kelly Brower passed away August 3, 2004, at the age of 36 from a heart attack. His dream to influence families and their kidz in a positive way continues to grow as new organizations, both in Canada, and around the world, embrace Kidztown to help support the families in their communities.

Rose Brower, Kelly's wife, has taken over the directorship of Kidztown and has seen Kelly's dream grow and change people's lives.

Fundraising Opportunities

The definition of philanthropy is "the voluntary promotion of human welfare". Philanthropists are behind the success of many worthy and valuable organizations that improve the physical, emotional, spiritual and financial health of our society.

In July, 2005 Kidztown received our own charitable status number from the Federal Government of Canada! Kidztown is now able to offer tax-deductible donation receipts for all monies received! We are grateful for the confidence placed in us by Revenue Canada. Our book-keeper keeps meticulous records and has an annual audit performed on all our financial records. Donation receipts will be sent out on a bi-annual basis.

Kidztown provides various philanthropic programs through which individuals and corporations can improve the emotional and spiritual well-being of kidz and their families.

1. Turtle Lifters - Monthly Givers
Our founder, Kelly Brower, felt incredible gratitude for people who selflessly gave financially on a regular basis to see Kidztown's influence grow. He appreciated the quote from Martin Luther King Jr., "When you see a turtle on a fencepost, you know it didn't get there by itself." At Kidztown, we recognize the only way we can make a difference is by people supporting us in every way. We are needing some turtle lifters, people who will take the opportunity to financially lift us up to a place where we wouldn't have been able to go on our own. As of February, 2006, we have $1800 that comes in monthly. We are looking to increase this amount to $6000/month. Would you consider becoming a turtle lifter?

2. Colour the Future with Friends:
At Kidztown, we think the future is bright for kidz who develop character, implement morals and values in their lives, and feel they have a purpose for living. We are looking for some loyal friends to help us colour the future for thousands of kidz in Canada and around the world. Would you consider making a donation to help colour someone's future a little brighter?
Red Friend: $1 - $100
Yellow Friend:$101 - $500
Green Friend: $501 - $1000
Blue Friend: $1001 - $5000
Rainbow Friend: $5000+

3. Adopt a Champion
The Adopt a Champion program allows donors to adopt a Kidztown team member who is willing to travel to international destinations and train nationals about Kidztown. These donations specifically support our international teams and help them broaden our international ties.

THANK YOU!
to all who supported our Kidztown motorcycle fundraiser in January 2008. Together we raised $55,700!

Congratulations to Wendy O. who is the new proud owner of a 2008 Harley Fat Boy! Special thanks to Harley of Smithers, BC for providing us with the motorcycle, and a gift certificate for the winner.

Kidztown
The Kidztown logo is descriptive of what Kelly Brower wanted his life to be - "I want children and families to see Jesus, the church, and Christianity, as what it really is, something fun and exciting. The cross illustrates my desire to serve God and minister for Him. The unicycle and juggling balls illustrate my desire to make life, and the Gospel, exactly what it is - fun, both for myself and for others," said Kelly.
